Dr. Ahmad El Rafhi

Dr. Ahmad El Rafhi is a Professor of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

He holds a PhD in Electronics from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse and has extensive experience in higher education, applied research, and academic leadership.

He has served, among other positions, as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, and Head of International Relations, particularly with France.

His teaching covers analog and digital electronics, electromagnetic wave propagation, antennas, optical fibers and optoelectronics, transmission lines, instrumentation and measurement, standards and quality, electrical circuits, and electrical machines.

His research focuses mainly on the electromagnetic properties of materials, microwave and optoelectronic devices, and smart energy systems. He has supervised and contributed to several doctoral projects, research projects, and scientific publications in these fields.

Beyond his academic activities, Ahmad El Rafhi has contributed to the development of technical and engineering programs, accreditation and quality initiatives, and several educational and scientific committees in Lebanon.

His career combines scientific expertise, pedagogical experience, institutional responsibility, and a strong commitment to the development of higher and technical education. He also places particular importance on the social dimension of education, youth support, the fight against school dropout, and the use of scientific and technical knowledge in the service of society.
