Freshman-Arts and Freshman-Sciences — one academic year, in line with MEHE rules and regulations.
The Freshman Program is primarily directed at students holding a High School Certificate following a Non-Lebanese Baccalaureate Program. It is composed of two tracks: Freshman-Arts and Freshman-Sciences, and at ULF each can be completed within one academic year. The courses for each track are designed in accordance with the Rules and Regulations set by the Lebanese Ministry of Education & Higher Education (MEHE).
Upon successful completion of the Freshman year, students may apply for the sophomore year in their desired undergraduate program at ULF or at any other university.
For students heading towards business, humanities, law, communication and social sciences programs.
For students heading towards engineering, technology, computer science and health-related programs.

Upon the successful completion of the Freshman Class requirements, students should obtain an equivalence to the Lebanese Baccalaureate from MEHE. After acquiring it, students will be promoted to Sophomore Class at ULF.
Applicants are admitted to the Freshman class in either the Arts track or the Sciences track. Students should check with their advisors that the number of credits and course categories taken during their Freshman year conform to the requirements of the “Equivalence Committee” of the Lebanese MEHE. These requirements are as follows:
